The current catalog edition
These Terms govern use of Collect Charts, an independent fountain-pen research catalog operated by Michael Dube. By using the site, a visitor agrees to these Terms. A visitor who does not agree should not use the site.
The current site provides source-backed maker, family, variant, and historical catalog facts. It does not provide accounts, portfolio services, sold-price history, market values, appraisals, authenticity opinions, affiliate listings, checkout, or paid services.
02 / Research boundary
Identification help—not professional advice
Catalog records are provided for general research and identification. They are not professional appraisal, insurance, tax, estate, investment, legal, or authenticity advice. A pen's identity, authenticity, condition, restoration, nib, provenance, accessories, and local market can materially affect how it should be described or valued.
Unknown or unsupported facts may be labeled unverified or omitted. Price history remains withheld unless an eligible source grants the exact required rights and a separate public-release gate is approved.
03 / Evidence
A citation shows the basis—not certainty
Collect Charts aims to attach a source and access date to every published factual claim. Sources can be incomplete, changed, moved, or mistaken, and historical documents can conflict. A citation shows the basis for a record; it does not guarantee that every source or interpretation is complete.
To report a factual or provenance issue, email fountainpenregister@gmail.com and identify the record, disputed field, and supporting source. Accepted corrections should keep an auditable source trail rather than silently rewriting evidence.
04 / Third parties
Independent means independent
Manufacturer names, model names, and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. Collect Charts is not sponsored, endorsed, or approved by any manufacturer, marketplace, archive, dealer, or collector organization unless that relationship is expressly and verifiably stated.
Evidence links lead to third-party websites. Collect Charts does not control their availability, security, content, terms, or privacy practices. A link is a citation or reference—not an endorsement. These Terms do not grant rights in third-party scans, photographs, documents, trademarks, or other materials.
05 / Permitted use
Personal research with the paper trail intact
A visitor may use the site for ordinary personal research and link to public pages. A visitor may not:
- disrupt, overload, damage, or probe the service;
- bypass access, security, rate, source-rights, or publication controls;
- use the service to distribute malware or unlawful content;
- misrepresent a catalog entry as an appraisal, authenticated sale, or official manufacturer statement;
- remove source, uncertainty, or rights-status disclosures when quoting original analysis; or
- bulk reproduce original descriptions, selection, arrangement, artwork, or interface without permission.
Facts are not claimed as proprietary merely because they appear in the catalog.
06 / Availability
Records and sources can change
The site may change, pause, restrict a feature, correct a record, quarantine disputed material, or become unavailable without notice. A source-rights change may require immediate withholding or deletion of affected material. No promise is made that a route, source, feature, or record will remain available.
07 / Responsibility
No warranty of a perfect record
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses arising from use of—or inability to use—the site or reliance on a catalog record. This does not exclude or limit liability, warranties, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms impose no visitor indemnity obligation.

For a legal, rights, or terms concern, email fountainpenregister@gmail.com. These Terms do not select an exclusive governing law, court, or arbitration forum. Applicable law determines those questions, and nothing here removes non-waivable consumer or statutory rights.
The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes must be reviewed before publication and, where required, presented with additional notice or consent.
